Few people understood why Don had proposed to Cassandra. Don wasn't even sure he understood it himself.
Maybe it was because underneath her pigtails and glasses she looked kind of like her mother. If Don couldn't have the lively and passionate Bella, Cassandra was the next best thing. Or maybe it was the Goth fortune that tempted him to woo Cassie.
Or maybe it was just because, for some strange reason, Cassandra loved Don. She loved him despite his flaws, and believed that he could become a better person.
It was too bad he was about to prove her wrong.
