Angela Pleasant had perhaps been the most shocked of all at Daniel's affair.

Angela was a lot like her mother, politically ambitious and hopelessly romantic. But she'd always been close with her father. He was the one she went to when she wanted some company while she exercised, and she the one he went to when he wanted someone to watch sports with him. While Mary-Sue denied Angela's faults, Daniel saw them and loved her anyway.

So when Daniel apologized, what else could she do? He wasn't the perfect dad she'd thought he was. But he was still her dad.
